Bring your flight history with you.
Your past journeys belong together. Contrail’s Passport is a personal flight logbook for your travel history, route map and statistics. Import an existing CSV export or add past flights manually. Passport CSV import and export are free.
Get Contrail for freeWhich flight history files can I import?
Contrail recognizes CSV exports from Flighty, Flightradar24 and OpenFlights. Start with an export you already have, or use the export option available in the service where you keep your history. Export availability and terms are set by that service.
Other CSV layouts may need column mapping. Flight dates and departure and arrival airports are important: check the preview and any row errors before saving. Importing a CSV copies flight records; it does not connect your accounts or create ongoing sync with the source app.
Import your flights into Passport
- Save your CSV export somewhere you can open it on your device. Keep the original file as a backup.
- On iPhone or iPad, open Passport’s menu and choose Import CSV. Import is also available in Settings. On Android, use the CSV import option in Settings.
- Choose the file and review the detected flights. Check dates, airport codes and any errors. If the format is not recognized, follow the column-mapping flow.
- Confirm the import, then check your Passport list, map and statistics. Review the reported import result before trying the same file again.
Export a copy you can keep
Use Export CSV to save an OpenFlights-compatible copy of your Passport. Keep a recent export if you want a separate backup or plan to move your records to another tool. Check the destination tool’s supported fields before importing there.
On iOS, Passport also supports iCloud logbook sync when iCloud is available for Contrail. That is separate from CSV backup and does not provide iCloud sync to Android.
A travel logbook, with room for your next trip
Passport records the journeys you have taken. My Flights helps you follow an upcoming journey by flight number and date, with available status, gate and delay information. Contrail Pro adds flight notifications and other optional features.
Use Passport for your personal travel history. It is not a certified pilot logbook for recording regulatory flight time.
